❌ FALSE What started off as a bad joke on Reddit https://bit.ly/4gWOTTE made its way into a professional social network. The story in the post is completely made up, impossible, and does not correspond to the picture attached. Here’s why: There are no direct flights between Helsinki and Toronto [https://bit.ly/42hF1zx]. The only flight with a layover departing around lunchtime from Helsinki is an Air Canada flight [https://bit.ly/4hkm3wz], but Air Canada's uniforms are blue and red. Lunch is usually not served on short flights, but rather one hour after take off for transatlantic flights [https://bit.ly/3CatAit]. 400 passengers on a plane with a 2-2 seating arrangement would require 100 rows, which is impossible. Plus, these planes typically do not fly over the Atlantic. The picture is a photo of employees from the consulting company PriceWaterhouseCoopers, as indicated on the label of the bottle held by the flight attendant and on the polo of the young man in white, probably during a flight chartered by the company. 🙄 In short, if lying is necessary to make people believe that those who drink wine are nice people, are they really nice people? Are people who use made-up stories to farm engagement any better?
