He stood in a river of plastic… holding a dirty Indian flag. 🇮🇳 Not for a photo. Not for money. Not because someone told him to. This young man looked at a place filled with plastic, bottles and garbage — something thousands of people may have walked past every day. But he decided: “Someone has to start.” So he started cleaning. 💔 Day after day… Garbage after garbage… Without waiting for anyone else. Imagine the smell. The dirty water. The heat. The exhaustion. There must have been moments when he wondered: “Can ONE person really change this?” But he didn’t stop. And slowly… something beautiful happened. ❤️ The garbage disappeared. The banks became cleaner. The surroundings became greener. And finally… THE WATER CAME BACK. 🌊 Look at these BEFORE & AFTER pictures. In one picture, he is standing surrounded by garbage, holding a dirty Indian flag. In another, he stands beside the restored water, holding our Tiranga with pride. 🇮🇳 That transformation is bigger than cleaning a river. It shows what can happen when ONE PERSON decides: “This IS my responsibility.” I would love to give this young man full credit by name. Here’s the full story, including the sources to prove it: At 20, Bittu Tabahi began cleaning the polluted Ajnar River in Biaora, Madhya Pradesh without gloves, boots, or even knowing how to swim. Starting 26/01/26, the BSc student removed plastic and waste from the river near a temple, where it had become a dumping ground. He also started turning puja waste into compost and pooled money with friends to buy cleaning tools and dustbins.
