Greece's Massive Solar Project Powers 75k Homes 🌞
Huge congrats to Greece for completing the largest double-sided solar project in Europe. 👏
This impressive 204-megawatt energy farm has taken 18 months to build and will now power 75,000 homes with clean, renewable energy. 🥳
In related news, Greece already gets 28% of its total electricity generation from wind and solar… almost 3x global average!
Hopefully more countries will be inspired by this. 🤞

The solar park is indeed located in the northern Greek town of Kozani. The announced figures are confirmed by the international press (cf. sources). The "related news" are bit more difficult to confirm, and we would truly appreciate if the author could provide some relevant - and recent - sources.
In the meantime and thanks to Irena website, we found that in 2019, solar generation was rated @10% and wind @16%.
