❌ And ladies and gentlemen: yet another fake picture making the rounds, complete with exaggerated claims! Red bananas do exist in nature, but they do not have that vivid red colour. See here: https://cvc.li/qTISb Red bananas are typically smaller than the common yellow Cavendish variety. They have a wider diameter, and range from curved to fairly straight, often with a few angular ridges along their length. Their thick, tough peel ripens from green to shades of red-orange, purple all the way to maroon — a colouration due to their beta-carotene content. https://cvc.li/VnFtI https://cvc.li/yyPuo Funny, the fake image is used by a red banana seed seller on Amazon, though the red hue appears to have been exaggerated/altered: https://cvc.li/xbbrB Red bananas originate from Central and South America, but are now cultivated in many regions around the world year-round. They have the SAME nutritional value than yellow banana. https://cvc.li/ahmmi https://cvc.li/QDEdq As for the taste… they're LIKE regular bananas, but creamier, with a HINT of mango or raspberry. https://cvc.li/sfGMI They're also quite versatile, LIKE yellow bananas: you can eat them raw, bake them, and use them in a variety of dishes. https://cvc.li/OGccm
