International Nabka Day

Today is International Nakba Day.
What is the Nakba?
The Nakba is what Israel is founded on.
It was the violent ethnic cleansing of over 750,000 Palestinian Arabs.
Over 13,000 Palestinians were massacred.
Entire villages were decimated.
Why did this happen?
Well, for Zionists to create a Jewish state in the Jewish ancestral homeland, they needed a Jewish majority.
But how do you have a Jewish majority when the land was full of indigenous people who are not Jewish?
The only way Zionists could make their dream happen was to ethnically cleanse as many non-Jews as possible from the land and make sure they never returned.
This is why there are over 6 million Palestinian refugees in the world today.
This is why over 70% of Gazans are refugees.
This is why Israel continues to colonize what is left of Palestine through occupation and settlements.
This was always the plan. This is what Zionism craved from the very beginning: Jewish self-determination in our ancestral homeland but at the expense of the indigenous people already there.
Le débunk
In the Arab world, "Nakba," meaning "the disaster," refers to the exile and displacement of Palestinian Arabs following the 1948 war and the creation of the State of Israel.
Let’s look at the facts:
November 1947, the UN passed Resolution 181, proposing the partition of Palestine (then a British Mandate) into separate 🇮🇱 Jewish and 🇵🇸 Arab states. The Jews accepted the plan, while the Arabs rejected it, leading to the 1st Arab-Israeli war (https://cvc.li/nVzYn):
➡️ Approximately 1% of both Jewish and Arab populations were killed, resulting in 5,700-6,400 Jewish and 10,000-15,000 Arab casualties.
➡️ Around 500 Arab villages were destroyed or depopulated.
➡️ About 700,000 Arabs fled or were expelled (https://cvc.li/RkJAf). Most sought refuge in the Gaza Strip or the West Bank, while others went to neighboring countries: Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. Today, the UNRWA recognises 6 million Palestinian refugees, and many inhabitants of Gaza hold this status (https://cvc.li/XxAtx).
➡️ Following this exile, the UN formulated a "right of return" for Palestinian refugees https://cvc.li/IqbFO, which remains a core issue in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Israel opposes this return, suggesting alternative solutions for the refugees : https://cvc.li/FyEKw
➡️ The Arabs who remained in 1948 became Israeli citizens, making up then around 20% of the Israeli population (https://cvc.li/jenGU).
➡️ There are differing views on the "ethnic cleansing" of Palestinian Arabs:
Some argue that it occurred: https://cvc.li/XxcOh
Others dispute this claim: https://cvc.li/ggZsh
➡️ The term "historic Palestine" is controversial, as both its geographic boundaries and political status have evolved over three millennia (https://cvc.li/TywWV).
➡️ Regarding the intentions of the Zionist movement:
• Some assert it planned the transfer of Arab populations to ensure a Jewish majority: https://cvc.li/DJnNw
• Others provide evidence of the contrary by suggesting that Zionist leaders anticipated Arabs would remain before the outbreak of the war: https://cvc.li/wsLOQ

🕊️ Both local Arab and Jewish populations have long histories in this land and can be considered indigenous: https://cvc.li/tvOME
