Le professeur et les ballons (again)
Le post
Voir sur
A university professor posed a challenge to his students. Each of them had a balloon with their name. The balloons would fall from the ceiling and they would have 5 minutes to find theirs. If everyone found the one with their name, they won... if not, they lost.
Although they tried with all their energy to find them, no one succeeded. The teacher put the balloons back and told them, "When you catch a balloon, give it to its owner". The test took less than 3 minutes to complete.
The teacher finished by saying, "Happiness is like these balloons. If each of us looks only for our own, we will never find it. But if we look for others', we will also find ours." Exactly the same happens with teamwork in companies. If you help others achieve their goals, others will do the same with you.

Le débunk
This cute cut-and-pasted story can be found just about everywhere (websites, social networks, municipal newsletters, etc.).
It often depicts a scenario involving a teacher or a headmaster, with the accompanying photo rarely consistent.
❌ However, the glaring absence of specific details such as the location or individuals involved renders verification nearly impossible, suggesting it's likely a 'legend' stemming from Anglo-Saxon folklore.
The fact-checking platform Snopes.com took an interest into this narrative towards the end of 2020 (https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/teacher-fills-hallway-balloons/), humorously highlighting the impracticality of such a spectacle within a school setting. Just imagine the chaotic scene of children bursting simultaneously into a corridor filled with balloons! 😂
