Le débunk

❌ This is a misinterpretation of what one witnesses in nature! This was debunked here first, but the video still went viral : https://s.42l.fr/T3cdlliq. To explain further look at 0:07 you can see this is a cuckoo cuculus (check the red beak the feather patterns) like this one: https://bou.org.uk/blog-zonneveld-devon-cuckoos-and-citizen-science/ Cuckoos are indeed nest parasites; we are far from the little cute one that tells the time in clocks from the Black Forest here. They tend to be bigger than the birds they trick into incubating and brooding the cuckoo chick. It’s even worse, in order to make space for her eggs, the female cuckoo will stalk the nest and when the future parents are gone she will remove/kill one of the original eggs to replace it with hers in order not to raise suspicion. When the cuckoo bird hatches (and it hatches first), the killing spree goes further as the chick throws the other eggs out, you can see this “chocking” behaviour in this article : https://www.livescience.com/how-cuckoos-trick-birds
